T.O.D. Design Charrette

Of course - the night of the big Ward Boundary Review meeting at city hall, there’s this amazing design charrette happening north of the border. If you’re on Facebook, check out the event listing HERE.
If you have the opportunity to attend, and can bring the knowledge you’ve gained back home to Windsor, I would highly encourage you to do so. I’d be jealous, in fact
TOD (Transit Oriented Development) Charrette
June 15/16 @ The Reserve, Birmingham
375 S Eton St
Birmingham, MI 48009 (map)I write with an invitation to participate in an exciting planning and design charrette. The cities of Birmingham and Troy are combining their efforts to envisage, design and build a transit district center, and encourage TOD, around the Amtrak station, close to Maple and Coolidge, at Midtown Square.
You are welcome to attend any and all of the charrette, BUT I especially invite you to participate in a session focused on getting input from younger people: “Attracting and Retaining the Millennials”. We badly need your input.
This session is scheduled for Monday 15th at 4:00pm, finishing in good time to cross the street to the Big Rock and Chop House. I won’t guarantee an open bar but the first beverage is on me.
Please pass this invitation on to others who you think might be interested in learning more and getting involved.
If you need further information, don’t hesitate to get in touch with me here at WSU or contact Jill Robinson at the City of Birmingham, (JRobinson@ci.birmingham.mi.us)
