Tour di Via Italia: Volunteer Opportunities

By James | August 21, 2008 |

The bicycle races on Erie Street will be held for the 50th time this Sunday, August 31. The Tour di Via Italia is looking for people that would like to participate in this exciting event in a variety of volunteer capacities. Currently we are seeking people to be marshalls - directing local traffic around the race course - and motorcycle riders to pace the races. Volunteers will recieve and event t-shirt and a meal. Moto riders will also recieve an honourarium to help pay for fuel.

If you are available please contact me at 519-817-3423 or james@scaledown.ca

Yet another event to throw in the face of the next person who says “there’s never anything to see/do in Windsor-Essex.” ;)

This weekend we have not only the bike races but also the Concourse d’Elegance at Willistead.

Bike races free. Car show $10. Can’t complain about that!

I was actually considering volunteering, but, it looks as though I am needed at work that entire weekend. I really wish I could help. Sorry!
