ScaleDown Radio, May 27, 2008
We decided to tackle the contentious (on this website, anyways) issue of the flooding of the Caron Avenue rail cut today. Joining us in the studio, over the telephone lines anyways, was Andrew Foot of International Metropolis so we could let Andrew and Mark go at it over the air waves. It sounded good at the time, but both boys were on their best behavior and the sparks weren’t flying a much as we had hoped. The next topic we’ll get Andrew involved in will be the mass stuccoization of heritage properties. That should work, eh?
Moving from an autocentric transportation focus to a rail-based one rounded out the first half of the show. After that we jumped into some of Windsor’s up-and-coming events, including Artcite’s “Check Out This Sprawl” exhibition, in which scaledown is partnering on a roundtable discussion of the effects of urban sprawl on June 18th at the Artcite Gallery. Be sure to check that out.
Lead in tune, as always, was If I Had To Eat You by Ten Indians
Enjoy!

Still thinking of Windsor’s woes while in New Zealand, Mike? What a glutton for punishment
Glad to have you still with us!
