Something good out of DRTP?

By Josh | November 16, 2007 |

Quick post — check out the article in today’s Star. Apparently the DRTP is dropping the truck component of its’ plan and going with the full-height rail tunnel plan.

Two comments on that — 1) It’s about time! and 2) Hey, isn’t that part of the Schwartz proposal?

Of course, with all things DRTP, only time will tell the real story. (That or some industrious blogger with the inside scoop! )

. . . or some industrious blogger with the inside scoop!

Josh: Just as long as it isn’t Ed Arditti (WindsorCityBlog), a less-than-objective commentator who formerly led the Stop DRTP group and now shills for the bridge company.

Yeah David Brister. Got what you wished for. Five fold the rail traffic which you had before. Double deckers!

Yep… the constant flow of Trains through my neighborhood is much better than trucks.

Or anonymous commentators who shill for the City.

At least Arditti sticks his neck on the line with HIS opinion, unlike anonymous commentators who lack the courage or conviction of their beliefs to stand behind what they say.

Ugh, you just can’t please people in Windsor. I can see why people are leaving this place.

A full-height tunnel was the main objective of DRTP - the truck road was just a way to use an existing rail right-of-way that is supposed to become obsolete due to rail consolidation.
